'Meet The Superhuman's'

Channel 4 launched its biggest ever marketing campaign on 17 July to promote coverage of the London 2012 Paralympic Games partially filmed at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

Broadcast across 78 different UK television channels, this advert shows some of the unique stories behind some of the elite Paralympic athletes representing Great Britain. The commercial shows the superhuman efforts some of them have gone to in order to prepare for the 2012 London Olympic games.

This London 2012 Paralympics proved to be a huge online success according to the International Paralympic Committee with record breaking figures for its website and social media channels. Here at crystal palace locations we recently filmed two Paralympic adverts at the National sports centre in anticipation of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, that gets underway on Friday 24 July – Sunday 9th August.

’It’s our time #OWNit’

DW Fitness First and Intersport’s was shot at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, championing Women in sport.

DW Fitness first, one of the largest privately-owned health and fitness providers collaborated with creative agency Hatch London and media agency Electric Glue, as they launched a new campaign to help grow the participation of female athletes this summer and to support women on their fitness journey’s.

The campaign with the slogan ’It’s our time #OWNit’ brought together DW’s Fitness Firsts various brand partners such as Adidas, Reebok, Nike, Puma, Under Armour, Speedo and New Balance. The 30 second ad utilised Crystal Palace National Sports Centre’s featuring Sky Sports presenter Anna Woolhouse as well as other female stars such as including the Nielsen Sisters, Ada Hegerberg and Gina Moses.

 We really enjoyed this project and it was a pleasure to be a part of.

'Give Your Game Everything'

We recently hosted Facebook at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre as they shot for their new campaign ‘Give your Game Everything’ around the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.  

Facebook enlisted the acclaimed director Jack Weatherley, who has also directed ads for UEFA and Nike to advertise Facebook as the go-to platform to engage with sports fans.The advert is based on insights discovered by Facebook IQ, highlighting the way that sports fans are consuming all their favourite sports, as well as the apps they use and how they engage during the Olympics.

Facebook made full use of the multiple facilities at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre shooting through in the indoor running track, Olympic diving board & pool, as well the main weight room.

Now I Can

We recently hosted Nike for their new video featuring Eartha Pond, Princess K, and Becky and Ellie Downey for their ‘Stronger with Support’ campaign highlighting their new range of sportswear designed for female athletes. The gear contours and supports, providing greater freedom of movement and allows focus to be solely on the performance.

Working closely with producer Amber Felix and Director Camille Summers Valli from Somesuch, we utilised areas around the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre including the dramatic concrete pillars of the main building, the gymnastics hall and our indoor and outdoor football pitches.

We were proud to be part of such an inspiring project!

Race for Life

Last month we hosted a shoot for a great cause, Cancer Research UK filmed their empowering new advert for this years Race for Life to raise money and awareness for people living with cancer. We were pleased to accommodate them for shots in our 15,000 capacity stadium at Crystal Palace and also at multiple locations at our other filming location The London Aquatics Centre.

We are so pleased with how it turned out and wish to continue to support such amazing organisations
